“I use photography in most of my work. Experimentation with formats and approaches keeps me inspired and consistently returns to this medium. Do the best with what you have at the time and put yourself in odd positions, that’s kind of my approach to photography. When I was documenting these Saltwatersoul boards it was a typically miserable, British, wet-weather day, but the classic boards and natural setting were a combination that just worked out right.”
