09/08/2005:// South African David Weare has moved into third place in the World Qualifying Series rankings after a runner-up finish at the Rip Curl Boardmasters in Cornwall.
Weare was defeated in the final at Fistral Beach, Newquay, by fellow countryman Antonio Bortoletto.
There was just three points separating the surfers with Bortoletto making sure of victory with a superb nine point wave.
