WiLDCOAST will break the record for the highest attendance of beach cleanups in the history of Baja California and possibly Mexico.
by Serge Dedina
05/02/2008:// This is the first of many events in which WiLDCOAST will help transform Baja California into the capital of environmental conservation.
What: Playas de Tijuana is one of the most contaminated beaches off the Pacific Coast. The high contamination levels prevent safe contact with the ocean. It is time to do something, time to take action and to be part of the solution. Besides the beach cleanup, there will be a variety of exhibitions ranging from photography, sculptures and paintings, Arab and African dance, Capoeria, music, food and concerts. We are expecting around 1,500 people to attend the event.
When: Saturday, Feb 9 2008 9am to 3pm
Where: Playas de Tijuana. At the Beach, 50 meters from the MEX/USA border fence
