News Write a Letter in Support of the Trestles Public Hearing

As most of you probably know, the Trestles hearing for July 25th, 2008 has been postponed due to limited occupancy at the Bren Center in UC Irvine by Serge Dedina

18/07/2008:// The support is so great that around 10,000 supporters of San Onofre were expected at the hearing when the Bren Center only holds around 5,000 people. However, the location and the date have not been rescheduled. We have to make sure the Department of Commerce upholds its decision to have a public hearing. Please write a letter to the Department of Commerce in support for the public hearing. We will definitely keep you updated with all the new information related to this issue. Once again thanks for the support. You can send your letter to Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez: gcos.comments@noaa.gov.

Below is a template you can use, but feel free to add what you would like the Department of Commerce to read

Dear Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez:

I am writing to ask that the San Onofre public hearing be rescheduled to allow the voices of the community to be heard in this issue. I was planning on attending the July 25th meeting to show my opposition to the proposed toll road and as such I ask that you please find a new venue and date. As you can see, the public support for San Onofre is astounding and as such we need to make sure that the public is involved in the decision-making process.

Sincerely,

Name and Address
