News Remembrance day

Tsunami remebered by British surfers by George Mojo

18/01/2006:// Surfers across Britain have marked the first anniversary of the Asian tsunami which killed over 300,000 people on Boxing Day, 2005.

In Newquay, a commemorative surf circle paddle out was staged, while at Croyde a gazebo housed a small exhibition of photo's from Asia.

A fancy-dress paddle also took place at Lossiemouth, in Aberdeenshire.

Organised by Christian Surfers UK and Tsunami Surf Relief UK, other events have also taken place around Britain.
