News Hawaiian shaper UK bound

[John]

JC heads to Cornwall to showcase work by George Mojo

03/05/2007:// Shaper John "JC" Carper is coming to Cornwall this month to show off the latest surfboard designs coming out of Hawaii.
Carper has been shaping and designing surfboards for over thirty years, gaining experience by following the ASP Tour all over the world,

He has put in the hard work and commitment to working with professional surfers that have built him a reputation that is respected worldwide.

JC has devoted most of his life to building and studying surfboards, and has shaped for a number of well-known labels, including Surfboards Hawaii, Lightning Bolt, Island Fusion, Rusty and Hawaiian Island Creations.

As a shaper, John likes to shape boards the way he wants them to be surfed - fast and radical.
He strives to design boards that will challenge a surfer, whether beginner or touring professional, young or old.
The accumulation of John’s entire life experience is at the core of his own surfboard company, JC Hawaii. With two main factories, one in Haleiwa, Hawaii and the other in Costa Mesa, California, he is able to control production of his product, insuring the highest quality surfboard possible.

JC Hawaii has now expanded into Europe where their headquarters have been set up in Portugal. Carper has visited Portugal two times in the past year where he has teamed up with California surfer Joe Veselko.

Veselko has lived in Portugal for the past four years and has had long standing relationship with the Portuguese surfing community since his first visit in 1989 with a surf team from California.

Joe has years of surfing experience as well as having more than 15 years of sales and management experience working for globally recognized companies. Joe will manage the entire European operation for JC.

JC Europe has set up their business in Portugal with a company called Board Culture who will exclusively manufacture their boards. John has been very excited about this new project and the quality of the boards that have been produced.

Board Culture has all of the necessary requirements as well as top quality materials for JC to make the same quality boards as produced in Hawaii and California. Everyone throughout the entire production line surfs and has ambitions of making the best quality boards in Europe

JC Surfboards of Hawaii will be launching its label across England and other countries throughout Europe early this May.

John “JC” Carper who will be present at these stores in Cornwall and Devon from May 11th- May 13th. Come and check out some of the hottest new models in the JC line-up. This will be a great opportunity in not only meeting John, but to also have him custom shape you a board.
