Surf holiday operator partners with Treeflights
by Howard Swanwick
19/06/2007:// In what is believed to be a unique initiative, a tree will be planted by leading independent surf holiday operator, Pure Vacations, every time a holiday is booked with them, from June 18 this year, at no cost to the holidaymaker.
This initiative, in partnership with Treeflights who plant trees for people who fly, is designed to help minimize the impact of air travel on the environment.
Basically, air travel causes greenhouse gas emissions that are known to be damaging our world, whilst trees are known to be excellent air purifiers, benefit the natural environment with birds and insects living in them, improving a region and helping to absorb excessive CO2 emissions.
Commenting on this move, Pure Vacations Managing Director Wesley Baker said "Many tour operators offer clients an option of paying to plant a tree when they make a booking. We are going one step further! From 18 June this year, anyone booking a holiday with Pure Vacations can rest assured that they are giving a little something back to our environment, as we plant a tree which will soak up CO2 for many, many years."
"The initiative is in partnership with Treeflights, a company that plants trees in Wales for people who fly, and we will guarantee to plant one tree for every single booking made with us, at no additional cost to the holidaymaker."
Novel and innovative, this is an online company that has invested heavily in a newly re-launched high speed, interactive website. On this site, Pure Vacations provides instant, tailor made quotes online for any choice, or combination of, holiday and flights. Clients can also chat live, online, to Pure Vacations specialists.
