04/07/2007:// North Devon's Ben Haworth's domination of the British Longboard Union series has been rewarded by winning the overall junior title ahead of the final event in Hayle.
Haworth has dominated the six-event series finishing first four times in five-event series.
The Braunton longboarder secured the junior crown at the Midsummer Classic, staged at Watergate Bay, in Newquay.
The event saw some the UK's top Longboard surfers competing in rough weather conditions, but small surf.
The BLU series tests surfer's capabilities across four different beaches, at five different times of year, to find the Oxbow BLU Open Champion.
So far in the series, competitions have been held a Peranporth Beach twice and St Quen's Bay, in Jersey.
At the Watergate Bay event, Phil Morris from New Zealand won the Open title, Adam Zervas took the Masters and Grace Davies won the ladies category.
The final contest - the Sunset Surf Classic - will take place at Gwithian Towans, in Hayle, on September 16th-17th.
