07/09/2007:// North Devon's Ben Haworth is set to light up the final British Longboard Union event of the season - the Oxbow Sunset Surf - in Cornwall.
Haworth is assured victory in the junior division whatever the final result in the fifth and last competition of the 2007 series at Gwithian Towans Beach.
Haworth has dominated the juniors and is in great form after securing the title at Watergate Bay with four victories out of four so far on the tour.
The 18-year-old, who has been surfing since the age of three, has been unstoppale this year in the BLU and will be looking to make it a clean sweep at Gwithian.
The result is less clear in the Open, Masters and Women's division with the overall title going right down to the wire.
European champion Elliot Dudley is favourite to lift the Open crown although World Surfing Games silver medallist Ben Skinner, from Newquay, and the Sennen's current English longboard champion Sam Bleakley are snapping at the heels of the talented Welshman.
The Master's division promises to be just as tight with Swansea's prolific national title holder Chris "Guts" Griffith leading the charge with two victories already this summer.
Newquay's Adam Zervas, with a first and second place, and Bournemouth's Eric Davies - two seconds - are in a strong position to take one of the three podium finishes.
The current British Longboard champion Adrian Howell is also in the reckoning with his competition experience and radical surfing making the final result far from certain.
There are three surfers vying for the Women's title - Grace Davies, from Jersey, Perranporth duo Marja Van Leuwen and Louise West .
Davies won the last final at Watergate Bay and took top spot in the Jersey leg of the competition. But the Cornish pair will fancy their chances of an upset with local knowledge on their side.
The BLU decider is being staged at Gwithing on September 15 and 16.
