Meet Sean Mattison

When did you start surfing?
I started surfing in Atlantic Beach Florida at the age of five in 1974. My first board was a Shane Steadman that I acquired from my sister for $3.00 U.S. I remember taking my surfboard to school for show and tell. The other kids in my class brought toy trucks or stuffed animals but I brought a surfboard. I still remember the looks on the other kids faces. I later got my first custom board shaped by Roger Woods under the tree for Christmas in 1976. Surfing was it!
